Terms & Conditions

  • Instructions on how to vote form part of the Terms and Conditions. The Terms and Conditions will be published on the SEEK website throughout the duration of the Awards.
  • Submitting a vote is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
  • Voting for the SARAs (SEEK Annual Recruitment Awards) 2008 opens from 9am Tuesday 1 July 2008 (AEST) and closes 5pm Friday 15 August 2008 (AEST).
  • Anyone is eligible to vote. To nominate a Recruitment Agency, voters must visit http://www.seek.com.au/sara/voting/
  • Only one vote per person is permitted. Multiple votes will not be accepted. A cookie will be placed on your computer to help SEEK track votes.
  • Votes will be collected by SEEK and independently counted by Price Waterhouse Coopers (PWC). PWC will obtain from SEEK a list of votes cast in relation to the SEEK Annual Recruitment Awards for Australia and New Zealand. The completeness and accuracy of the list and the validity of votes cast will be the responsibility of SEEK management. Accordingly PWC will not perform any procedures to validate the information provided by SEEK. PWC will perform procedures to count the votes cast and calculate the total votes for each recipient, independently from SEEK management. PWC may require SEEK management’s assistance in instances where determining the intended recipient of a vote requires judgment. PWC will provide SEEK with a report of the factual findings of these procedures to management.
  • Instructions on how to self catagorise your recruitment agency form part of the Terms and Conditions. Catagorising your agency and/or accepting a SARA award are deemed acceptance of these Terms & Conditions
  • The 2008 SARA categories are as follows:

    Generalist Recruiter Large
    Generalist Recruiter Medium
    Generalist Recruiter Small
    Executive Recruiter
    IT Recruiter Large
    IT Recruiter Small/Medium
    Specialist Recruiter Large
    Specialist Recruiter Medium
    Specialist Recruiter Small

  • Should it not be feasible to award a winner in each category listed above, SEEK reserves the right to combine and or withdraw categories.
  • Recruitment agencies who want to participate in the SARAs need to categorise themselves on the microsite prior to 15th August. If no category nomination is received by 15th August the SEEK will allocate the agency to the most appropriate category automatically.
  • Award finalists will be entitled to use the SARA Finalist 2008 logo on their site and literature for 12 months. Award winners will receive a trophy and will be entitled to use the SARA Winner 2008 logo on their site and marketing materials for 12 months.
  • Any misuse of altering of the SEEK logo or the SARA awards logo is not permitted. SEEK reserves the right to withdraw the use of its logo and the SARA awards logo at any time if these conditions are not met.
  • The proposed date for announcing the 2008 SARA Finalists is September 1st.
  • The proposed date for announcing the 2008 SARA Winners is September 19th.
  • SEEK reserves the right to alter any dates associated with voting, announcement of finalists and winners.
  • SEEK collects and reserves the right to use voter’s comments in post awards promotions.
  • SEEK reserves the right to place photos taken at the awards ceremony on the SARAs microsite.
  • Providing financial incentives to encourage voting is not considered to be in the spirit of the SARAs. Agencies should avoid running competitions or providing other incentives for candidates to vote as they may be disqualified.
  • SEEK reserves the right to alter these Terms & Conditions at any point.
